Who are we?

Buniol is a family project dedicated to healthy tomatoes, imperfect, with authentic taste.

I am Claudia, and I am the motivation behind Buniol. I drive my family crazy with my passion. I adore my tomatoes for their beauty. At the same time, I am captivated by their unique taste, which differs from variety to variety and from season to season. These are why I am relentlessly searching and collecting new tomato varieties every year. We started with 20 tomato varieties in 2013. Now we own over 200 that I know in great detail after their leaves, fruits, growth habits, and history.

My father, Joseph, is the head gardener. His magic hands are responsible for the healthy seedlings we obtain every year from our seeds. I share his fascination for the entire natural process, from seed to fruit. I admire my father for his devotion to his plants and our whole garden.

My mother, Maria, is our Masterchef. A force of nature, she is the personification of the saying: nothing can go to waste. Every year, she transforms the tomatoes too ripe for fresh delivery in hundreds of jars with tomato juice and sauce. In everything she does, my mother proves what anyone can achieve when they give everything they have for something they love. 

Together, we nurture our plants most responsibly, with no compromises. Our work speaks for us. We follow the highest standards of care for the plants and the tomatoes so that each delivered Buniol box is a memorable experience.
