Why?
Our mission is simple. Every year we invest passion, effort, time, and all necessary resources to grow healthy and full of flavours tomatoes.
Buniol tomatoes are garden tomatoes grown under the summer sun with no exterior protection other than that provided by marigold and basil. Only by respecting the natural rhythm of the tomato plants can we obtain the highest concentration of flavours and nutrients.
We use only sustainable agriculture practices. We would never do something to artificially enhance the growth of our plants and fruits or to permanently damage the soil. Because we grow them in harmony and with respect for their natural rhythm, our tomatoes reach their full potential: authentic taste.
We create our own seedlings from last year’s seeds.
When the time is right, we transfer the small plants to the open field.
Each year, weekly, we water the plants with a homemade concentrated infusion of nettle, horsetail, and garlic for extra strength.
We protect them from bacteria by sprinkling the plants with milk and sodium bicarbonate after each rain and by coating them with wood ash.
Out tomatoes are imperfect in shape and may vary in size, but their inside hides what we all should be looking for: the sincerity of an authentic product with its values intact.
